Dorothy C Lesjak

Dorothy C. "Dot" Lesjak, 91 of Howland Twp. passed away 10:30 PM Sunday Sept.6, 2009 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born the 3rd of 8 children to Lynn O. and Stella (Sigel) Clower May 15, 1918 in Warren. A lifetime area resident, Dot was employed for 31 years at Packard Electric as an inspector retiring in1978. She also had volunteered at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She loved playing BINGO and tile rummy and was an avid golfer and bowler. She also enjoyed gardening, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Howland Community Church. Her husband of 46 years Stanley J. Lesjak whom she married Sept.14, 1940 preceded her in death April 26, 1986. Also preceding her in death were her parents, step-mother Effie Scott Clower, a brother William Clower, 3 sisters Lois Barnum, Alice Taylor, Angie Ray, 3 grandsons, Jason and Justin Ryan, John Thomas Hiestand, and son-in-law Gary Hiestand. Dot will be greatly missed by her 3 daughters Sherry Hiestand of Niles, Deborah "Debbie" (Pat) Ryan of West Farmington, Corine "Corky" (Larry) Prince of Howland and 4 grandchildren; Kevin (Jamie) Prince of Myrtle Beach, Jeff (Leeanne) Hiestand of Ona, WV, James (Ronda) Hiestand of Plant City, FL, and Lisa (Brad) Carrier of Cranberry Twp., PA. She also leaves 9 great grandchildren; Taylor, Kellyn, Cody, Seth, Kevin Jr., Drake, Camryn, Payton, Leah, brothers, Warren (Helen) Clower , Lynn (Teeny) Clower Jr. both of Vienna, a sister Mary Ellen (Don) Zimmer of Pinetop, AZ, sister-in-law Fern Clower of Mineral Ridge, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday Sept.10, 2009 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 6-8 PM Wednesday. Rev. Dr. Brian Byrne will officiate. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.
