Youngstown Eleanor Jean Clawson, 74, quietly and peacefully went home to heaven on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Eleanor was born Dec. 19, 1935 in Braddock, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Piper) Frazier. Formerly of McDonald, Eleanor was living in Youngstown. She was a nurse, homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother and "Ma Clawson" to many. Eleanor was a member of the First Baptist Church of McDonald where she took care of the nursery department for 30 years. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the case worker for the McDonald Community Chest for 20 years. Eleanor spent her whole life unselfishly caring for her family and friends and anyone who needed help. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, Lewis A. Clawson, a daughter Debbie Lettau and her fianc David Reiner of Youngstown, three sons Chris (Rose) Clawson of Reynoldsburg, OH, Steven Clawson of Youngstown, Scott Clawson of Girard and a brother Robert Frazier of Bronson, Florida. She leaves 4 granddaughters, Brittany Clawson, Sarah Clawson, Bethany Lettau, Destiny Turner and two grandsons Thomas Clawson and DongWon Jung. Friends and family may call from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel where a memorial service will be held 7 PM Wednesday.
