Eva Mae Moore

Canfield- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday at Highway Tabernacle Church for Eva Moore who peacefully went to her heavenly home Wednesday evening at her residence with her family prayerfully surrounding her. Eva was born April 28, 1929 in Speedville, TN. the daughter of Rob and Sarah (Brummett) Smith. Eva was self employed operating Moore's Restaurant in Monroe, MI. and was also dietician supervisor for Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe before moving to Ohio in 1989. After moving to Ohio she was co-owner of Sav-A-Step in Wickliffe until retiring in 1992. She was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church. Eva was an avid craftsperson, making blankets for the Highway Patrol to pass out to accident victims and was always providing food for the needy. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ernest R. Moore whom she married November 1, 1947, children; Patricia Faye Hutchcraft of Toledo, Wanda (Ahmad) Abou Osman of Canfield and Robert Allen (Cindy) Moore of Jacksonville, FL. Eva is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her sisters; Veldia Gunter in Michigan and Annie Arnold in Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Walter, Troy and C.J. Smith and sisters; Ora Harlin, Rosie Walker, Lassie Cinnamon, Thressa Childress and Minnie McCarty. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Her final resting place will be in Knoxville, Tennessee
