Evelyn M. Meyers

Mrs. Evelyn M. Meyers, 86, of Youngstown, died early Sunday evening, June 2nd, at the Hospice House in Poland. 

She was born May 10, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond and Dolores (Fisher) Hilderhoff.

Evelyn attended East High School in Youngstown and worked in the hot foods service/deli for Giant Eagle in Austintown for 25 years, retiring in 2014. 

She enjoyed cheering on her favorite sports teams; the Indians, Browns, Cavs and The Ohio State Buckeyes, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

Evelyn is survived by her children; Raymond (Lynn) Cordova, of Hubbard, Gregory Cordova, of Youngstown, Frank (Tami) Meyers, of Grove City, OH, Lisa (Jeff Allen) Yurcho, of Austintown, and Edward (Michelle Baughman) Meyers, of Youngstown. She also leaves behind a brother, Charles (Brenda) Hilderhoff, of Youngstown; three grandchildren; Anthony (Katie), Vincent (Emily), and Gregory; three great grandchildren; Lennox, Miles, and Etta; and a son-in-law, George Yurcho, of Canfield.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Cordova, her second husband, Frank Meyers, her son, Ronald Cordova Jr., a brother, Ronald Hilderhoff, and a sister, Norma McNutt.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 6t,h at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, with Pastor Joel Theis officiating. 

Friends may call 5 - 7 PM Wednesday June 5th at the funeral home.

Evelyn will be laid to rest in the Belmont Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
