Frank Nickolas Laprocina, age 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 13, 2013 at University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born on December 16, 1935 to the late, Nick and Anna (Kochera) Laprocina in Warren, Ohio. Frank graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Germany. On September 6, 1958, Frank married his wife, Barbara (Beistel) Laprocina. Frank had worked as a printer with the Tribune Chronicle and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He retired in 1999 from Delphi Packard Electric having worked as an industrial security guard and maintenance laborer. Frank loved his Lord and Savior. He was a previous member of the Champion Church of the Nazarene and was currently attending the Leavittsburg Church of the Nazarene and was an active participant with many of the church's projects. Frank enjoyed woodworking and had made many beautiful pieces over the years for his family and friends. He enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Frank was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand and was a generous blood donor with the American Red Cross, having given the gift of life to so many people over the years with his almost 25 gallons of donations. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara (Beistel) Laprocina; daughters, Tami (Paul) Tarleton of Champion and Holly (Mark) Zimora of Greencastle, PA.; grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Hecker of Cobleskill, NY., Stephen (Sara) Zimora of Holly Springs, NC., Lindsay Tarleton and Brad Tarleton both of Champion; sisters, Joan Bacon of Warren, Phyllis Lohr of Newton Falls, Lee Anne (Michael) Brannan of Rogers, AR.; sister in law, Joanne Gregory of Champion and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Calling hours will held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Champion Township Cemetery.
