Franklin D. Benson

Franklin D. Benson of Hermitage, PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday evening December 10, 2012. He was born on November 11, 1932 in Lynn, Indiana the son of Paul and Dorothy (Frazier) Benson. Following graduation from high school, Mr. Benson served in the United States Air Force during both the Korean War and Vietnam War before his discharge in 1964. He was of the protestant faith and had worked in the shipping department at the former National Castings before his retirement. He is survived by his son Gregory Benson of Brookfield, OH and by his brother Bob Benson of Richmond, IN. Mr. Benson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday December 17, 2012 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield, OH. Burial will take place at the Brookfield Township Cemetery where military honors will be observed.
