Gary Dale Cronenwett, of Austintown, passed away Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born October 4, 1947 in Galion, OH a son of Junior and Rosemary (Wurm) Cronenwett. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Canfield, a charter member of the Austintown Lion’s Club, where he achieved the Melvin Jones Fellows Award, and was co-chair of security and credentials for the LPGA in Youngstown for 12 years. He had been an electrical engineer for many years. Gary is survived by father of Galion, his wife the former Pam Pears whom he married October 20, 1973; a daughter Megan Cronenwett of Akron; a son Rob Cronenwett of Austintown; and a brother Ronald Cronenwett of Warren. Gary is preceded in death by his mother and a son Bryan Cronenwett. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday. Contributions may be made to the Austintown Lion’s Club in Gary’s name.
