George Atlee Wilson

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for George Atlee Wilson of Salem-Warren Rd. in Ellsworth who passed away Thursday afternoon at his home. Mr. Wilson was born November 4, 1911 in Ellsworth, the son of Jefferson and Almira (Leonard) Wilson. George was a farmer in Ellsworth as well as a Volunteer Fireman and Township Trustee. He was also a member of A.S.C.S. Besides his wife, Estella (Goodman) Wilson who he married December 6, 1934, George leaves a son William G. Wilson and a daughter Shirley Houston, both of Ellsworth. He also leaves 2 granddaughters: Carrie Burkey and Tracy Gross, as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Dakotah Knight, Cordell Burkey, Wyatt Burkey, Monica Gross, and Jereth Gross. George was preceded in death by a half sister Maude Wilson, 2 sisters: Destiny Calvin, and Marie Fenton, and 3 brothers: Leon, Milo, and Cloe Wilson. Friends and family may call at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield chapel on Saturday from 10-11 AM, one hour prior to the services.
