Gordon A. Hazlette Sr, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully at 12:25 AM Thursday Jan. 15, 2015 at Autumn Hills Care Center following a short illness. He was born June 6, 1947 in Warren the son of the late Graham and Anne (Petrocco) Hazlette Sr. A lifetime Warren resident, Gordon was a 1965 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He was employed by Republic Steel Corp., and V & M Star retiring in 2007. He also was formerly employed in the audio retail field. Gordon was a lifetime member of the YMCA and enjoyed bicycling and running with his friends. He also was an audiophile, a car enthusiast, and enjoyed photography. For many years he organized the north end reunions and helped organize his high school class reunions. He was of the catholic faith and had served as an altar boy at St. Joseph's Church of Warren. Gordon will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet (Bolino) Hazlette whom he married Aug. 16, 1991, and 2 sons- Maj. Gordon A. (Dana) Hazlette Jr. USAF stationed at Aviano, Italy, and Christopher Hazlette of Tucson, AZ. He also leaves 5 grandchildren; Anna, Julia, Luke, Melissa, Christopher Jr., a twin brother Graham (Livia) Hazlette Jr. of Gaffney, SC, 2 sisters Sandra (Gene) Williams of Warren, MI, Kim (Ken) Guy of Warren, OH and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 6:30 PM Sunday Jan.18, 2015 at Roberts-Clark Chapel , where friends will be received from 4:00 PM until service time. The Rev. James Walker will officiate. Gordon will be cremated and he will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family suggests material contributions be made to the Trumbull Family Fitness Center (formerly the Warren YMCA) 210 High St. NE Warren, OH 44481.
