Harold M. Forster, 74 of Bristolville, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, November 1, 2014, at his home. He was born October 10, 1940 in Warren, the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Mae Swager Forster. He was raised in Cortland and had been a Cortland and Bristolville resident all of his life. Harold was a 1958 graduate of Cortland High School. He served in the Army reserves from 1958 to 1966. Previously he worked at American Welding & Mfg. Co. in Warren and Service Guide Company in Cortland. Harold worked as a heavy equipment operator at King Brothers in Bristolville and was self employed, owning Forster Excavating. He was raised in the Cortland Christian Church. He was a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge No. 1012. He had been active with the 4H when his daughters were growing up and enjoyed farming, having raised dairy and beef cattle, horses and goats. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed perch fishing on Lake Erie with his wife. Harold enjoyed cooking and was a great cook. He loved spending time with his grandsons and his family. He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Sandra J. Wickham Forster, whom he married April 26, 1963; three daughters, Jeannette M. (Tim) Krembrenk of Chester, SC, Doreen R. (Jay) Sisley of Rootstown and Kerra L. Forster of Warren; two grandsons, Jared M. and Ethan P. Sisley; one brother, Graham (Jean) Forster of Farmdale and one sister, Carol Jean (Larry) Baker of Kinsman. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bristolville Fire Department of to the Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Rd. NE, Warren, OH 44483.
