James A. Peace

Mineral Ridge- Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for James A. Peace, age 80 of Mineral Ridge who died early Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Jim was born June 18, 1927 in Saltsburg, Pa. and was the son of the late James C. and Loretta (Ames) Peace. He had worked for Packard Electric for 24 years where he had been a machine repairman. He was a member of the Austintown Community Church, Post 737 in Lake Milton and had served in the U.S. Marines. His wife, the former Helen Smith whom he married Nov. 29, 1952 died May 27, 1995. He is survived by a daughter Sharon (Don) Kerner of McDonald. He also leaves a grandson Joshua Kerner of McDonald and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Samuel and four sisters, Betty Bakich, Lois Easton, Dorothy Olive and Loraine Axe. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Thursday.
