James W. Boyd, 70 James W. "Red" Boyd, 70, of Mecca, passed away on January 30, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. James was born January 4, 1945 in McCook, Nebraska, a son of the late William G. and Lydia (McKnight) Boyd. James attended Howland and Lakeview School systems. "Red" as he was known by his friends and family, was a hard working handy man who always kept busy. Red drove truck for over 30 years, for various different companies. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars, building trailers to haul cars, fixing up his home, and watching westerns. He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories, his beloved wife Eileen (Duncan) Boyd, of Mecca, whom he married on July 1, 1989, a daughter Kimberly (Robin) Little Sr., of Weeksbury, KY, two grandchildren, Robin Little Jr. and Sydney Little, two great-grandchildren, Realiegh and Kannyn Little, all of Weeksbury, KY., two sisters, Barbara Howard, of Cortland and Sheila Sullivan of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Thomas Boyd and a sister Linda Brown. Service for James will be held February 3, 2015 at 3pm with Pastor Ron McIlvaine officiating.
