Youngstown-Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Jane L. Morrison age 84 of Omni Manor Rest Home, formerly of Wendover Cir. who died Friday evening at Omni Manor. Jane was born Aug. 29, 1936 in Oil City, Pa. and was the daughter of Paul L. and Lulu (Slater) Rankin. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Austintown Garden Club, and the Crown Point Garden Club. A certified Water Safety Instructor for The YMCA in Youngstown, she taught in the Learn to Swim Programs for many years. She is survived by three daughters; Dr. Connie (Erven) Robinson of Austintown, Madelyn (Thomas) Pauley of Canfield, Sharen (Jerry) Cope of Salem, OH. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Jeanne Morrison of Arizona, a brother and sister in law, Rolland and Joan Morrison of Canfield and a niece, Lois Cole of Austintown, 11 grandchildren, Dr. Rick Robinson, Alexa Robinson-O’Neill, Glade, Gregory, Garth Pauley, Stephanie Winegar, Michael, Paul and Amanda Bishop, Stacie Skully and Jenny Beil and 13 great grandchildren. Her first husband Glade E. Morrison whom she married Aug. 29, 1936 died in 1974 and her second husband Walter F. Block whom she married in 1980 died in 1998. Two brothers Paul L. Rankin, Jr. who was lost at sea aboard the USS Dorchester in 1942 and Kenneth E. Rankin and a granddaughter Brittany Pauley are deceased. . The family requests that material contributions be made to Tod Children’s Hospital, 500 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, OH 44501. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Monday.
