Jeffrey L Shorts

Jeffrey L. Shorts, 65 of Bazetta Township, died Tuesday morning, July 21, 2015, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren. He was born January 9, 1950 in Grove City, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Merle R. and Leona Gills Shorts. Jeff was raised in Vienna and was a 1968 graduate of Mathews High School. He retired in 2008 from the trim department at General Motors, Lordstown Plant, where he worked for 30 years. He was of the Methodist faith. Jeff loved spending time with his wife and their best friends, Becky and Ed Shultz. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, motorcycling and his three Yorkies, Romeo, Juliet and Abby. Jeff is survived by his wife, Sandy L. Fleischer Shorts, whom he married May 14, 1992; one brother, Gary (Marlene) Shorts of Fowler; two nieces, Kristine and Lori and three nephews, Scott, Ryan and Brandon. A private funeral service will be held Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery chapel in Greene Township, where burial will be held. Pastor David Vensel will officiate.
