Joan Irene Cominsky

AUSTINTOWN-There will be a funeral service held at 10AM Monday, June 16, 2008 in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Joan I. Cominsky, 73, who passed away at 8:15PM Thursday, June 12, 2008 in her daughter's home in Canfield. Joan was born October 28, 1934 in New Castle, PA the daughter of the late Louis E. and Virginia (Sitler) Greenberg. Joan was a 1952 graduate of Rayen High School and was a homemaker. Joan enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting owls, many types of trinkets, nic nacs and dolls. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Joan is survived by four children Guy Cominsky of Kent; Ricky (Kathy) Cominsky of Austintown; Cindy (Pat) Cominsky of Austintown; and Lisa (David) Jordan of Canfield; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a niece Sheila Winger of Phoeniz, Arizona; and her special and dear friend Kathy Naypaver. Besides her parents, Joan was preceded in death by a brother Melvin R. Greenberg and her beloved cat "Sam". Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 2 until 5 PM in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice House 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Charlette Walsh for all of her care given to Joan in the last six years; also to Dr. Bailey & Dr. Reed and all of their staff for their care; to everyone at Briarfield at Ashley and to Hospice of the Valley.
