Joan B. Wimer

Joan B. Wimer, age 90, of Brookfield passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024. She was born on February 2, 1934, to the late Frank and Sarah Burns.

Joan was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend to those who knew her. She was married to her late husband Homer E. Wimer on April 27, 1957. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid country music fan. She loved birds and had several throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Mark Wimer, granddaughter, Jamie Wimer, 5 sisters, and 4 brothers.

She is survived by her children, John (Deborah) Wimer, Sr., Bernadette Harris, Donna (David) McDougal; grandchildren, Bryan (Vanessa) Harris, Jessica (Stephen) Purfey, Krystyne Orr, Amberlee McDougal, John Wimer, Jr., Stacey Bishop, Lauren Wimer; great grandchildren, Alexis and Luke Harris, Abel Orr, Mark Purfey, Julius Lock, Dallas Wimer, Ella Farr, and Callie Wimer; brother, Tom Burns, and numerous extended family members.

Calling hours will be held 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel 180 Garfield Dr. NE Warren, OH 44483 with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.lanefuneralhomes.com.
