Joseph J. Sabo of 7298 Brookwood Drive, Brookfield, Ohio, died at 1:40 AM Thursday (11-8-2007) in O’Brien’s Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, Ohio following an extended illness. He was 70. Mr. Sabo was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on November 14, 1936, a son of Julius and Pearl (Fedor) Sabo. A 1954 graduate from Vienna High School, Joe went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. His decorations and citations include: the Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Sabo retired from Omega Induction Services, Warren, Ohio in 1997. Survivors include: his wife, Patricia L. (Ammons) Sabo, whom he married August 17, 1990; his brother, Robert Sabo & his wife Carol, Vienna, OH; his step-children, Robert Burns & his wife Evelyn, Columbus, OH, and Brenda McKnight & her husband Darren, Allen, TX; his step-grandsons, Ryan & Kevin McKnight; a very close cousin, Richard Sabo, Vienna, OH; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his sister, Betty Jane Scott. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday (11-10-2007) at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, Ohio, with Rev. Arch McCune, Pastor of the Vienna Baptist Church. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, OH.
