Judith E. Simeon

Judith E. Simeon, 81, went to be with our Lord on Saturday June 8, 2024 at Windsor House in Champion. 

Judith was born on May 7, 1943 in Sharon, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Dawes) Godfrey. 

She was a graduate of Joseph Badger High School and worked at Sharon Steel for 15 years, from 1978 to 1993. Once Sharon Steel closed, she and her husband, John, moved to Arizona in 2005.

In her younger years, she enjoyed being outdoors whether she was trail riding on her horses, fishing, or riding the snow mobile. Later she enjoyed painting and making crafts. She was a lover of all animals, especially dogs and horses. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. 

Judith will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Shari (Mark) Shaffer and Shelly (Daniel) Perry; grandchildren, Jennifer Hahne and Steven (Stephanie) Hahne; and five great-grandchildren. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Simeon, whom she married on December 30, 1995; and her sister Marilyn Crislip. 

Family and friends may visit from 4-6:00PM on Saturday June 15, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel, located at 164 N. High St. in Cortland. A memorial service will follow at 6:00PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League in Vienna or Sanctuary Hospice in Canfield.
