Lawrence E. Six, Sr., age 79, of Bazetta Township, died Saturday afternoon, September 12, 2009, at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born October 25, 1929 in Nelsonville, Ohio the son of the late Nelson and Elizabeth (Beecher) Six. Larry had lived in Trumbull county for many years and resided in Bazetta Township for 31 years. He retired in 1991 from Thomas Steel Corp., where he worked as a roller and in the waste water department for over 30 years. Larry was of the Protestant faith, was an avid bingo player and enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas, gardening, camping and having coffee with his good friend, Carl. He supported the Warren Family Mission and the Salvation Army. Larry is survived by three daughters, Christina (David) Irwin of Warren, Stephanie (William Alderman) Rush of Leavittsburg and Carol Naples of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren, Bobby Yanssens, Summer DeMathews, Terry Rush, Amy Six, April Naples and Lauren Six; six great grandchildren and two sisters, Donna (Jim) France and Carolyn Six both of Columbus. His wife, Donna M. Couch Six, whom he married December 9, 1949, preceded in death in 1991. One son, Lawrence E. Six Jr. died in 2000; one grandson, Stephen Barnhart and 8 brothers and 6 sisters have all preceded him in death. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 17, 2009. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor J. Victor Bowling officiating.
