Lawrence W. Yale, Sr., age 92, of Warren died at 4:30 pm Monday, April 28, 2008, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. He was born May 29, 1915 in DuBois, PA the son of the late Kelvin C. and Laura (Ross) Yale. Larry retired from Hetzel Steel Corp. in 1980 after working 18 years as a crane operator. He previously worked at Thomas Steel. Larry was a member of the Civil Conservation Corps and was of the protestant faith. He is survived by two daughters, Verma Babcock of Warren and Beverly Pinto of West Farmington; four sons, Robert (Kathy) Yale of Champion Twp., Clarence (Keila) Yale of Howland Twp., James (Julie) Yale of Toolie, Utah and Kelvin Yale of Warren; a daughter-in-law, Victoria Yale of Niles; twenty two grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. Larry's wife, Elizabeth J. Russell Yale, whom he married April 9, 1939, preceded in death in 1992. Two sons, Lawrence Yale Jr. and Richard Yale; one grandson, Dennis Yale and two brothers, one his twin brother, also have all preceded in death. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 2:00 pm Friday, May 2, 2008 with Pastor Tal Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Champion.
