There are no services or calling hours for Lee Phillips Jr. of McDonald who passed away Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Lee was born October 2, 1923 in Parsons, WV. He served in the United States Army in WWII serving in China, India, and Burma. Then worked as a crane operator for 32 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube. Lee was a member of the VFW in McDonald, and enjoyed commercial fishing in Alaska, and cutting trees. He is survived by six children: Linda Grande of Girard, Charles Lee Phillips of Spring, TX, Loren Phillips of Niles, Octavia Phillips of McDonald, Ron Phillips of Dillingham, AK, and John Phillips of McDonald; one half brother Jim Young of Baltimore, MD; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, his wife the former Florence Catherine McCormick and two sisters Linda and Jan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel.
