Lewis A. Clawson

Lewis A. Clawson, "Lew", age 80 of McDonald, Ohio, died on August 19, 2015 at 2:04 PM at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born on January 19, 1935 in Cambria County, PA, the son of the late Jacob Merle and Mary Lucy Ashcroft Clawson. Lew was an over the road truck driver having his own business. Lew also worked for various trucking companies, including G F Trucking, Builders Transport, and Schneider. He liked to fish and spend time with his family. He also liked to eat out and go shopping. Survivors include his children, Deborah Lettau of Youngstown, Chris (Rose) Clawson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Stephen Clawson of Youngstown, and Scott Clawson of Girard; five grandchildren, Bethany Lettau, Brittany, Sarah, and Thomas Clawson, and Destiny Turner; and one great-grandson, Isaac. His brother, James Clawson of Burghill, and brother-in-law, Robert Frazier of Bronson, FL also survive. Other than his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eleanor J. Frazier on July 29, 2010, they were united in marriage on November 20, 1955; his siblings, Merle, Clair, and Hank Clawson, Nellie Collins, Maude Deyarmin, and Agnes Longnecker. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor Jack Acri will celebrate Lewis' life. Family and friends may visit from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield Twp., Ohio.
