Loretta Ann Pompeo, 77 of Howland Township, died Wednesday morning, February 8, 2012, at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles. She was born October 16, 1934 in Warren, the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Pauley Santfant. She had been a lifetime area resident. She was a loving mother and homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crafting, traveling and gambling. Loretta was a 1952 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Albert Pompeo Sr., whom she married October 18, 1952, one daughter, Deborah A. Pompeo and her sister, Nancy Pinciaro. Loretta is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Pompeo of Streetsboro; three sons, Albert "Albie" (Kim) Pompeo, Jr. of Macedonia, Randy (Jan) Pompeo of Warren and Rick (Cheri) Pompeo of Cortland; eight grandchildren, Randy (Amanda) Pompeo Jr., Nicholas Pompeo, Albie Pompeo Jr., Rachel Pompeo, Brandy Pompeo, Joshua Pompeo and Nicole and Samantha Pompeo and one brother, Stephen (Cynthia) Santfant of Girard. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Lane Family Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. James P. Walker officiating. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Twp.
