AUSTINTOWN-A funeral service will be held at 2PM Friday, October 17, 2008 in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Mark Iagulli, 91, who passed away at 2:50AM Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Assumption Village Nursing Center after enduring a battle with Alzheimer's and an extended illness. Mark was born March 14, 1917 in Youngstown the son of the late Louis and Celeste (Andreano) Iagulli and moved to Austintown as a young boy. Mark was a graduate of Fitch High School. He was employed by Youngstown Welding and Engineering and retired after 29 years and then worked fifteen years at General Motors Lordstown. Mark was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. He attended Austintown Community Church for many years, taught welding in three Mahoning County Vocational Schools, served on the Austintown Board of Education for three terms, belonged to the American Legion Post 301, Argus Masonic Lodge # 545 of Canfield, and was active in the Austintown Optimist Club for many years. Mark is survived by his wife of 65 years the former Viola Hayes, a daughter Joanne Williams of Austintown, a daughter-in-law Joanne Iagulli of Austintown, a brother Ralph of Austintown, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and nephews that meant a great deal to him in so many ways. Besides his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a son Larry Mark, brothers Emanuel and Don Iagulli and sisters Rose Bartholomew and Vera Bruno. Family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 1PM until the hour of service in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will take place in North Jackson Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.
