Mark L. Plant

Mark L. Plant, 72, of Niles, Ohio passed away on the evening of April 4^th, 2024 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born the son to the late Jack and Eunace (Campbell) Plant in Warren, Ohio on June 4^th,1951 and was a 1971 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. He went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Sherrie (Rhodes) Plant, on April 9^th,1971 and spent 54 years together, raising 2 sons, building memories and a strong family foundation. 

Mark was a Vietnam veteran, spending time in the United States Army and went on to become a mill wright for Amweld for 40 years, as well as an instructor for 12 years at TDDS in North Jackson, Ohio. He had many interests throughout his life, such as mechanics, motorcycles, cars and spending time with his family. 

Mark leaves behind to carry on his memory his wife, Sherrie, his 2 sons; Craig Plant and Jason Plant, 4 grandchildren; Autumn (Vince) Cappelli, Jordan Connell, Alyssa Connell, and Jackson Plant, and siblings; Marsha (Skip) Jones, Melissa (Bob) Hanley, Randy Plant, and Michelle Plant. 

Mark is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeff Plant. 

Friends and family may call Wednesday April 10^th, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Lane Funeral Home- Mineral Ridge Chapel. A service will be held on Thursday April 11^th, 2024 at 10am at Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel. Mark will be laid to rest with full military honors at Niles Union Cemetery.
