Michael Zayac

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27th at lane Family Funeral Home, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Michael Zayac of Canfield who died Sunday morning. Michael was born October 30, 1930 in Rockingham, Pennsylvania, a son of the late George and Mary Zayac. He graduated from Campbell High School where he played football. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist and later became manager for the former Youngstown Sheet and Tube where he retired after 30 years. Michael was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and bowling. He had bowled seven 300 games. His wife, Evalyn died in 2008. He leaves his fiancee', Bonnie Slusher of Canfield. Besides his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a brother, George Zayac and two sisters, Mary Zayac and Helen Zayac.
