FARMDALE- Mirriam Ellen Finch, 93, passed away on Friday morning, May 20, 2016 at Concord Care of Cortland. She was born on February 20, 1923 in Warren, Ohio, daughter of the late John Charles and Edith Clara Mae (Griffith) Gouldthorpe. Mirriam had a heart of gold and was a member of various clubs and groups in Trumbull county over her long and wonderful life. She was an active member of Greene Church of the Nazarene where she served as a sunday school superintendent, was a member of the choir and was asked often to sing solos because of her beautiful voice. Mirriam was instrumental in the building of the Fellowship hall at the church as she donated the land needed to do so. She was a lifelong member of the Friendly Garden Club, a charter member of the Greene Historical Society and loved to collect and sell antiques. Mirriam and her first husband, Stanley, owned and operated the Broken Wheel Ranch dairy farm for many years. Mirriam is survived by her children, Robert (Sherry) Mistak of Maryville, TN, Cindy (William) Summers of Fowler Twp, and Pete (Emily) Mistak of Gustavus; four step sons; Floyd "Tim" (Linda) Finch of Mecca, Mark (Iris) Finch of Bristolville, Shane (Tina) Finch of Greene and William (Kim) Finch of Mecca; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; sister, Laverne Hammond of Southington; brother, Ivan Gouldthorpe of Gainsville, FL; and a sister-in-law and close friend, Caroline Mistak. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 39 years, Stanley Mistak who passed away on July 7, 1982; second husband of 21 years, Oakley Finch who passed away on November 6, 2007; two step-sons, James Finch and John Finch; two brothers, John Charles Gouldthorpe, Jr. and Gaylord Gouldthorpe; and one sister, Jeanne Moore. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Greene Church of the Nazarene, 8916 OH-46, North Bloomfield, OH, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jim Elkin officiating. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greene Twp, Ohio.
