Nancy A. Hagelbarger

Nancy Axelson Hagelbarger, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2024. Born on February 13, 1939, a daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine (Saeger) Axelson,  

Nancy's life was a testament to love, dedication, and warmth. She leaves behind her supportive husband, Ralph Hagelbarger, two loving children, Jeffrey (Michele) Hagelbarger and Kristy (Adam)LaCarrubba, and seven beautiful grandchildren, Samantha, Jack, Matthew, Olivia, Samuel, Sophia and Simon, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering devotion and nurturing spirit. Nancy met her beloved husband at an Army-Navy game, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together. 

As a dedicated teacher, Nancy touched the lives of many students throughout her career. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her friends, playing tennis, reading novels, and being surrounded by her beloved grandchildren. Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca (David) Sly.

 A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 26^th at Canfield Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m.. Friends may call for one hour prior to the services at the church.
