Onalee Rita Angelot

AUSTINTOWN-A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10AM Friday, February 6, 2009 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. John Trimbur officiating preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:30AM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Onalee R. Angelot, 86, who passed away at 3:10PM Monday, February 2, 2009 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Onalee was born February 16, 1922 in Richwood, WV the daughter of the late Thomas J. Varner and Jewel (Ward) Varner Detamore and lived in the area for 69 years. Onalee lived at The Junior Home orphanage in Lexington, NC from 1930 until 1938. Onalee worked at General Fireproofing during World War II. She also was employed for 5 years at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Central Services and did seamstress work from her home. Onalee was truly a Homemaker and the best mom ever and will be sadly missed by her two daughters Patricia Angelot of Austintown and Linda Angelot of Austintown and by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Michael L. Angelot whom she married November 20, 1944 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1985, Onalee was preceded in death by a sister Juanita Rogers and by two brothers Thomas J. and Donal Varner. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 5 until 7 PM in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Onalee's name to YMCA Partner of Youth Program 17 N. Champion, Youngstown, OH 44503 or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to especially thank Marlene and Jennifer who cared for Onalee and have truly become family and also to Dr. Lakhani.
