Services will be Saturday at noon at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Orville J. Paugh, 100, of Canfield who passed away Thursday morning in Meridian Arms Care Center. Orville was born November 13, 1908, in Danville, PA the son of Daniel and Lillian (Lake) Paugh and came to this area in 1927. He was the owner and operator of Paugh Greenhouses in Canfield from 1945 until 1965 and then was the Superintendent for the Canfield Village Street Department from 1967 until his retirement in 1977. Orville was a member of Canfield Christian Church were he was an Elder and a Deacon as well as serving as Chairman of the Board. Orville was a member the Western Star F&AM Masons Lodge in Youngstown and had been a member for more than 65 years. His wife, the former Eleanor L. Osborne, whom he married August 12, 1932, passed away May 13, 1998. Orville leaves two daughters; Janet (Ron) Svetichan of Cape Haze, FL, and Carol (Ron) Payne of Canfield, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, as well as three great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Orville is preceded in death by two sisters; Grace Kucharski, and Ruth Keller, and two brothers; Charles and Robert Paugh. Family and friends may call from 11 to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
