Paul G. Schobel, 76, of Austintown, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:15pm at his home, with his loved ones by his side. Paul was born on November 24, 1940, in Chicago, IL., a son of the late, John and Sarah (Roth) Schobel. Paul graduated from Berlin Center High School in 1958. He worked for over 40 years as a mechanic and truck driver at General Motors. Paul was a member and a past Master of the Meander Lodge F. and AM. He would spend countless hours working on cars, as this was his true passion. His most precious's memories were spent with his grandchildren who he loved and adored. He leaves behind his wife, the love of his life and best friend, Barbara Schobel, whom he married on October 20, 1962.He also leaves behind his three sons; Michael Schobel, of FL., Steven Schobel, of Columbus, Richard Schobel, of Austintown, four grandchildren; Brittany, Hannah, Zander, and Brynna, and two great granddaughters; Oliva and Arabella, two siblings; a twin brother, Ed (Donna) Schobel, and a sister Gretchen (Roland) Barnhouse. Besides his parents, Paul is preceded in death by a brother John. Private services and Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to send a special thanks to MVI Homecare and Hospice, especially Paul's nurses; Liz, Nick and Stacie, for all the love and compassion they gave Paul's during his time of need. Care was entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
