NORTH JACKSON-Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Paul Prasek of North Jackson who passed on to be with the Lord Tuesday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Prasek was born Nov. 10, 1916 in Youngstown the son of Paul and Katrina (Lipar). He was a graduate of Jackson Milton High School and a diesel mechanic at U.S. Steel McDonald works retiring after 45 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII receiving the American Theater Ribbon and the American Defense Ribbon. Early in his life he owned his own private plane and enjoyed flying airplanes and motorcycle racing and was a member of the Salem Motor Cycle Club. He spent much of his life in his favorite place, his garden. His wife the former Helen Stanwick passed on June 13, 1970. He is survived by his only daughter Barbara and her husband Ronald Jonesco of Younstown, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren who loved him dearly and were blessed they were at grandpa’s side when he entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. One brother Joseph Prasek of North Jackson and his close companion Joyce Jenkins also survive him. Friends may call from 12:30 until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
