PETER GERALD MARGIOTTA Girard- Funeral services will held 11 AM Wednesday at Christ Is The Answer Church in North Jackson for Peter G. Margiotta age 81 of Girard who died Sat. eve. at his son’s home in Boardman. Peter was born January 10, 1921 in Youngstown and was the son of Frank and Katherine (Conell) Margiotta. He retired in 1986 after 35 years with Strouss Dept Store Downtown where he had worked in the Appliance Department. Peter was secretary, counselor and teacher at the church and had served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII flying B-17 Bombers. He was a member of the Arm Air Force Flying Training Dept. Peter is survived by his wife Pastor Pearl Lillian (Kovach) Margiotta whom he married August 7, 1948. He also leaves three sons, Frank (Robin) Margiotta of Boardman, Jim (Mardi) Margiotta of Temecula, CA, Mark Margiotta at home, 2 sisters, Phylis Bettura and Silvia Evans both of Boardman, a brother James Margiotta of CA., 8 grandchildren, Maria (Ted) Suszczynski, Peter, James, Laura, Frankie, Christopher, Kory and Sara Margiotta . He was preceded in death by a sister Mrs. Nean Kondas and 2 brothers Joe and Sam Margiotta. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel.
