Regina Thompson Yoder, 88, of Howland Twp., died early Friday morning February 22, 2008 at the St. Joseph Health Care Center after a short illness. Born August 10, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Julius and Stephanie (Bentley) Gizler. A lifetime area resident, Regina moved to Florida for 14 years returning to the Warren area in 1997. She was a homemaker, and volunteered her time at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital, and also at a resale shop in Avon Park, FL benefitting the mentally retarded. Regina served on the Allegheny County Council of Defense during WWII. Regina was a member of St. Mary's Church. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband William E. Yoder whom she married in 1977, by two sons, Ralph and his wife Mary Thompson of Middlefield and Gary L. and his wife Pamela Thompson of Warren, a daughter Candace S. and her husband Paul Niemi of Warren, seven grandchildren, Tim, Tab, Kimberly, Ralph III, Robert, Craig and Brian, two step grandchildren Ashley and Morgan, 7 great grandchildren, Eric, Brooke, Mark, Breanna, Julianna, Jenna, and Danielle and by a sister Dorothy Kuczynski of FL. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Jerome, Joseph Anthony, and Julius Gizler and by a great grandson Bryan. Calling hours will be Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bernard Schmalzreid will conduct a funeral serviceTuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Crown Hill Burial Park.
