Robert "Bob" Swartz of Masury, OH passed away at 4:46AM Saturday morning May 17, 2014 in the Sharon Regional Health System. He was seventy-one years old. Bob was born at home in Hubbard, OH on May 28, 1942 one of twelve children of the late Edward and Doris (Whitworth) Swartz. He attended Hubbard Schools and worked for the former Sharon Steel for thirty-two years before his retirement. Following his retirement he worked various odd jobs for the J.P. Marsh company. Bob loved spending time laughing with his family and friends. He also loved fishing at Lake Erie, on a boat at Pymatuning, or from the shoreline at Shenango Lake. He took pride in both his flower and vegetable gardens. To those who knew him he had a heart of gold and would do whatever he could to help others in need. He is survived by his loving companion Wanda Tompkins of Masury; his son Mark A. Swartz of Barkeyville, PA; his daughter Lori Glaize of Mercer, PA; five sisters Betty Luthern of Florida, Lavern Younkins , Shirley Keaggy, and Patty Hermansky all of Hubbard, and Mary Conners of Hartford; two brothers Eddie Swartz of Austintown, and Leo Swartz of Sharon; and by two grandsons Kyle Glaize of Mercer, PA and Frederic Schultz III of Wheatland, PA. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Samuel and Jim Swartz, and by his sisters Ester Fast and Judy Wagner. Per his request, there are no services scheduled and arrangements have been handled by the Madasz Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Brookfield, OH.
