Graveside Military honors will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens for Robert Coman of Berlin Center who passed away on Thursday at his home. Mr. Coman was born December 14, 1920 in Akron Ohio the oldest son of Lew and Ann (Bailey) Coman and moved to Berlin Center as a child. A WWII Army Air Force Veteran, Robert served as a First Lieutenant from 1942 to 1945. A farmer all of his life, he also retired from the Youngstown Steel Door Company in 1982. Robert enjoyed gardening, reading and farming. Besides his wife, the former Annabelle Ballentine whom he married November 27, 1948, Robert leaves three children: Jeanne and her husband Dan Wheat, Carolyn Coman, and Steven and his wife Sue Coman all of Berlin Center. Robert also leaves five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Frankie. A sister Mary Humberston of Sarasota, Florida and a brother Mike Coman of Canfield also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister Frances Coman and a brother James Coman.
