Roger A. Bumgardner

Roger A. Bumgardner passed away Saturday morning at his home. He was born March 19, 1944 in Hartford, OH a son of the late George A. and Mary L. (McHenry) Bumgardner. He was a tow motor operator for General Refractories in Champion until 1994 and retired from Kaufman's in North Jackson. Roger enjoyed watching Nascar, woodworking, playing cards, cheering for the Cleveland Browns and attending car shows. He is survived by his wife the former Linda Treharne whom he married August 1, 1981; one daughter: Tracy Bumgardner and her fianc DJ Kirtley of North Jackson; two sisters: Lucille Baldwin of Phoenix, AZ and Leona Derr of Orangeville, PA; and one brother: Ted (Nancy) Bumgardner of Warren. Besides his parents, Roger is preceded in death by a son Roger Albert Bumgardner Jr. and a sister Olive Schank. Family will receive friends at their home, 2135 S. Duck Creek Rd. North Jackson, OH 44451 from 3 PM until 6 PM Tuesday. Contributions may be made to Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel to help assist with funeral expenses.
