Roger H Carr

Roger H. Carr, 70 Roger H. Carr, 70 of Berlin Center passed away peacefully Saturday evening at St. Joseph Hospital, Warren surrounded by his family. Roger was born August 10, 1946 in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Herman H. and Maxine L. (Whaling) Carr and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Western Reserve High School, Berlin Center in 1964 and attended Kent State University, Salem Branch. He received his degree in Theology Ministry in 1971 from Salem Bible College. Roger worked in the tire business for over 40 years as a tire repair technician. He was currently working at Great Lakes Best One Tire, previously Terry's Tire Town where he had worked for 13 years. He previously worked for Meander Tire. Roger enjoyed woodworking and gardening and loved the rain. He would often put a pan outside to hear the sound of the rain, which he found very soothing. He leaves his wife, the former Joyce (Wasikowski) Wisniewski whom he married in September 2000. He leaves two sons, Christopher (Bethany) Carr of Salem, Jeffrey (Amy) Carr of North Lima; two step-sons, Teddy (Laura) Wisniewski of South Fork, Tennessee, Randy Wisniewski of Berlin Center; two brothers, Arden (Bonnie) Carr of Berlin Center, Stanley (Nancy) Carr of Ravenna; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Ann Cartmell and a step-son, Greg Wisniewski. The family is planning a private memorial service for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel.
