Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday at the Pricetown United Methodist Church for Ronald E. Zins, 69, who died late Wednesday morning at his residence. He was born January 18, 1941 in Youngstown, a son of Richard and Lillian (Sheddy) Zins and he resided in this area all of his life. He was a 1960 graduate of Youngstown South High School. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served from 1960-62. He worked as a millwright for WCI Steel for 17 years before retiring in 2006. He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed cars, especially restoring his 1954 Buick, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. Ron was a kind and loving man and he will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Larinda E. Kurth, whom he married January 26, 1963. He also leaves behind his mother of Columbiana; four daughters; Ronda (Steve) Pirko of Lake Milton, Lisa (Bill) Wolff of South Lyon, MI, Ranee (Dean) Fear of Phoenix, AZ, and Mindy (Mike) Davis of Cortland; nine grandchildren; Steven, Kelly, Carly, Kara, Alexis, Jack, Ethan, Elisabeth, and Evan; and four brothers; Richard (Joanne) Zins of Chantilly, VA, James (Barbara) Zins of Lisbon, Edward (Jean) Zins of East Palestine, and Russell (Candice) Zins of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may call from 5-7pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
