Mr. Ronald V. Julius, 86, of Austintown, died early Friday morning, May 24th, at his residence.
He was born April 13, 1938 in Youngstown, the son of Albert C. and Minnie (Spagnola) Julius.
Ron was a 1956 graduate of Youngstown South High School and he served in the U.S. Army from 1959-61. In his adult life Ron worked as an optician, making eyeglasses, and later with his wife as owners of Blue Ribbon Motors in Austintown.
He married the former Lois J. Wilkinson on January 16, 1965. They shared 59 years of marriage and many happy memories together. She preceded him in death on March 13th of this year.
Ron's passion was horse racing. He also loved exercising and he was a car enthusiast. His greatest joy was his wife, daughter, and family, whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine (Thomas Anundson) Stacy, of Boardman. He also leaves behind a sister, Marilyn Julius, of Boardman; a grandson, Trent Kerpsack, of Los Angeles, CA; a niece, Alecia (Jeffrey) Poppke, of Boardman; and a nephew, Robert (Paige Jann) Gamberale, of Atlanta, GA.
Besides his wife, Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 30th, at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10 - 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife in the Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
Ron's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks an appreciation to Patriot Home Health Care and Hospice, in particular his private caregivers, for their endless compassion and kindness over the last five years.
