Ruth Louise Raskov

Ruth Louise (Edwards) Raskov, 86, who was a resident at the Autumn Hills Care Center passed away Tuesday evening, April 14, 2005 in Trumbull Memorial Hospital . Born March 28, 1923 in Braceville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elva (Stowe) Edwards. Ruth worked in sales and marketing for both W.T. Grant and AVI for several years and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Delightful Evangelical Church, enjoyed bowling, golfing, and adored her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was known as “gramma-gramma” to her great grandchildren. She is survived by a son James A. (Nancy) Raskov and daughter Sheila (John) Walsh both of Cortland, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters, June Dalton of Garrettsville and Martha Adams of Ravenna, and by a brother Raleigh Edwards of Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Arthur Raskov whom she married March 1, 1941 and shared 38 years of marriage, a son Bill, three brothers, and a sister. Family and friends will be received Friday from 4 to 7PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. James Dittmar will conduct a funeral service Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Crown Hill Burial Park.
