Thomas D. James, 68 of Lordstown died Monday morning, March 16, 2015, of a heart attack at the Delphi Packard Electric, Plant 10 in Howland. He was born August 1, 1946 in Warren, the son of the late Willard H. and Susie Moser James. He had been a lifetime Lordstown resident, where he was raised. Tom was a 1964 graduate of Lordstown High School. He served in the Army in Germany as a mechanic during the Vietnam War. He attended college and then ferrier schooling in Illinois. Tom retired in 2006 from Delphi Packard Electric, where he worked for 38 years in the wire mill drawing wire. After retirement, he continued working as a consultant at Delphi, working for Bartech Company. Tom was raised in the First Baptist Church in Warren. He was an avid horseman and loved trailriding and training horses. He was an avid poker player and enjoyed playing in poker tournaments and going to casinos. Tom is survived by one son, Gregory (Bobbie Blackson) James of Orwell; one daughter, Cheryl (Chad) Wildman of Farmdale; one brother, Willard D. "Bill" (Jo Ann)James of Spring Hill, Fla.; his companion of 23 years, Carol A. Stanford of Howland; one granddaughter, Carly James at home and three grandsons, Jesse James with the U.S. Navy stationed in Mayport, Fla. and Jarrett and Mason Wildman at home. The funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where fhe family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
