Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church for Thomas Michael Mageros of Canfield who passed away Friday night at Allay Assisted Living in Lisbon. Tom was born August 1, 1920 in Hubbard the son of Michael and Paska (Mazarakis) Mageros and was a Hubbard High School graduate. A WWII Army Veteran, he was a long time business owner in the area. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the American Legion Post #0737. An avid fisherman, he was also formerly a bowler in both Hubbard and Youngstown. Besides his wife, the former Bessie L. Kissos whom he married October 20, 1946, Tom leaves three children: Georgia (John) Holowach of Canfield, Alice (Carl) Gaglardi of Canfield, and Thomas E. Mageros of Las Vegas, NV. Tom also leaves five grandchildren: Sophia Holowach, Betsy (Brian) Spin, John Holowach 111, Alexis and Danielle Gaglardi as well as a great-grandson Georgie Spin. He was preceded in death by a brother Peter Mageros. Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the services in the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 220 N. Walnut St. Youngstown, OH 44503.
