William R. "Bill" Flemming, Jr., age 79 of Warren, Ohio, died on April 3, 2014 at 10:05 PM at the Hospice House in Poland with his wife by his side. He was born on July 29, 1934 in Warren, the son of the William R. and Mary Parlas Flemming, Sr. Bill was a 1953 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and formerly worked and was retired from Heltzel Steel in Warren and Transco in Newton Falls. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns. He was very attentive to his favorite pet cats, Betsy. Survivors include his wife, the former Amelia Paolina Valerio, whom he married on August 2, 1969; his daughter, Christina Marie (Robert) Fisher of Warren; his grandchildren, Maria Christina Mullenax and Michael William Fisher both of Warren. Also surviving are his siblings, Richard (Phyllis) Flemming of Kinsman, Mary Elizabeth LaCella of Las Vegas, NV, and Margaret Glodde of Tyler, Texas; two nephews and four nieces. Other than his parents, William is preceded in death by two nephews, James LaCella and Jeff Rebhan. Funeral services will take place at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, Ohio 44481 at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 10, 2014 where Rev. Fr. Bernard Schmalzried will celebrate William's life. Family and friends may visit from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta Twp., Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
