William “Bitz” Barron – 71 Youngstown-Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:45AM in New Beginning Church (formerly Central Christian) in Youngstown for William Barron, 71, of Brantford in Youngstown, who entered eternal life on Wednesday evening in Forum Health Northside Hospital due to complications from surgery. Bill was born July 13, 1933 in Weirton, West Virginia the son of Ralph L. and Florence (Kuhn) Barron and moved to the area as a young child. Bill was owner of Barron Tile for 33 years and was currently working at the business. Some of Bill’s most memorable works was the installation of the glass mosaic mural at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown, and the tiling of the YMCA in Boardman most recently. Bill was of the Protestant faith and a member of Central Christian Church for 50 years in Youngstown. Bill was a member of Tile Setters Local Union #8. Bill was a Trustee, Elder, and Deacon of the Church. Bill took pride in coaching Little League Baseball in North Lima and the Mill Creek Junior Baseball League. Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter, and was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and the Youngstown State University Football Team fan. Most of all he enjoyed his family. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife the former JoAnn (Simon) Barron, whom he married July 5, 1952. His children and grandchildren, William (Karen) Barron and their children Sunshine L Barron, Shannon C., Shaunda C., Toney, and Tara Yancey all of Youngstown; Sherri (Arthur Johnson) Barron and their son William A. Barron of Branford, CT; Norman J. (Mariann) Barron and their children Angie Brown, Kevin and Tracey Barron all of Youngstown; and Laura Bodnar and her children, Robert and Bonnie Bodnar of Youngstown. Bill leaves three brothers; Dr. Ralph L. Barron Jr. D.O. of Akron, OH, Richard Barron of Austintown, OH, and Norman Barron of Youngstown, OH and 7 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and from 9-10 AM Monday at Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel. Burial will be in Lake Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers family suggests that memorials be made to the Rich Center at YSU School for Autistic Kids, YMCA in Downtown Youngstown, or to Angels for Animals, 4750 St. Rt. 165, Canfield Ohio 44406.
