McDonald-Yolanda H. Bequeath, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior about 5:00 AM on Wednesday, May 24th at her home, after an extended illness. She was born Oct.13, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry E. and Louisa (Yehle) Schroeder. She graduated from Dorset High School in 1941 and attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where she met her husband Ellis Owen Bequeath. They were married on April 28, 1944. Yolanda was a member of Highway Tabernacle Assembly of God in Youngstown where she sang in the choir and served as Missionette leader for many years. She worked at Beltone hearing aids in Austintown in the sixties, was employed for several years by Stambaugh Thompsons and Easter Seals and later worked for Girard Hardware. She also attended Bible Study at Summit Assembly of God Church. Yolanda was a member of NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapt. @2122) where she held the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and later President. Yolanda is survived by her husband Ellis O. Bequeath. She also leaves two daughters, Marilyn Bequeath of Howland and Juanita Bequeath of Youngstown, and a son Ronald (Darla) Bequeath of Mercer, Pa. She is also survived by her brother, Herbert T. Schroeder of Andover and six grandchildren, Marilyn Renee Barfay of Maryland, Thomas E. Barfay II of Howland, Ilana White, Ian Bequeath, Laura Bequeath and Levi Bequeath of Mercer, Pa. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel where friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
