Services will be 11:30 am Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for David S. Stiver, 81, of Austintown who passed away Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Austintown E.R. David was born August 15, 1923 in Youngstown the son of Stanley and Alta (Baun) Stiver and was a life long area resident. He was a graduate of East High School class of 1942, and worked for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Campbell works for 42 years retiring as a Payroll Supervisor in 1984. David was a WWII Air Force veteran serving from 1943 to 1945 and flying in 31 bombing missions over Europe. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the 8th Air Force 34th Bombardiers Group, the National Management Association and the Mahoning Valley Industrial Management Association. David was also an avid golfer and bowler. He leaves his wife the former Ethel Barraclough whom he married May 1, 1944, six children; Alan (Linda) Stiver of Boardman, Ken (Chris) Stiver of Struthers, Larry (Pam) Stiver of Gilbert AZ, and David K. Stiver of Youngstown, Lynn (Pat) Brannan of Shakerheights, Lucile (Jerry) Keith of Tampa FL, one sister Marion (Ed) Struble of Boardman, one brother Stanley (Jane) Stiver of Hickory NC, seven grand children and seven great grandchildren. Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
