Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend, Frank Rehlinger, of Canfield, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness. He was 78 years old.

Frank was born on July 9, 1932 in Plawna, Yugoslavia the son of the late Anton and Marie (Lennart) Rehlinger and came to the United States in 1952.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Army and served overseas during the Korean War.

Frank was a Master Taylor, Masonary Contractor and owned and operated Frank Rehlinger Masonary Co. for 30 years.

Frank was a member of St. Michael Church in Canfield. He was the original founder and committee member of Boy Scout Troop 115, an active member of Girl Scout Troop 771 and was the organizer of the Canfield Soccer League. He was the first president of the Ohio Gas & Brass Antique Automobile Club, member of the Meander Chapter Antique Automobile Club of America and member of the Model T-Ford Club. He was a gardener, inventor and was an avid fisherman and bowler. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe.

Frank leaves behind his wife of 55 years the former Elizabeth "Liz" Tremmel whom he married on November 12, 1955; five children Anton Rehlinger of Canfield, Elfrieda (Timothy) Londeree of Canton, Elizabeth Rehlinger of Canfield, Jacob Rehlinger of McMinnville, Oregon and Christine Rehlinger of Broomfield, Colorado; three granddaughters Courtney Coburn, Allison and Brianna Londeree; two brothers Andreas Rehlinger of Florida and Stephan Rehlinger of Cortland; two sisters Katherine Horvat of Michigan and Marie West of Florida; loving and caring in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and by a host of friends.

Calling hours for Frank will take place on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel, 65 N. Broad Street in Canfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Terrance Hazel officiating in St. Michael Church 281 Glenview Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Canfield Village Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Frank's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
