Jack “John” M. Hacon, 57, of Austintown, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at home after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Jack was born July 3, 1961 in Youngstown, the son of Thomas and Theresa (Baker) Hacon. Jack was self-employed as a Mechanic. He removed, installed, and repaired AMF equipment.
Jack was a unique, very kind guy and was known to think outside of the box. He was very ingenuitive. He created everything from games to rides for the children in the backyard. He had a huge heart and spent his life sharing it with those he loved most; his family. Jack had a passion for various types of music and enjoyed creating custom lightning to accompany his music.
Jack is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jill Hacon, whom he married February 8, 1980; his daughters Heather (Don) Eynon of Austintown, Jackie (Jim) Haefke of Austintown, Elizabeth Clausen of Austintown, and Stevie Hacon of Austintown; his sister Judy (Fred) Michalski of Austintown, Tom Hacon of Pennsylvania, and Terry Hacon of Youngstown; and his grandchildren Joey, Raelynn, Cadence, Devin, Katelyn, Vanessa, Kenneth Jr., Kinsleigh, and Adalynn.
Jack is preceded in death by his father Thomas, his granddaughter Theresa, his son-in-law Eric Clausen Jr and his brother Stevie Hacon. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 12:00 PM with calling hours immediate prior at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
